Welcome to Target:Corregidor!

Briefing

On this site you'll find information about the Target:Corregidor mod for the Targetware family of sims.

Target:Corregidor is a community-based server project that aims to recreate a historically accurate WWII air war over the Phillipines and Dutch East Indies, using the open source Targetware flight sim engine.
The player-volunteers of the Target:Corregidor Development Team are attempting to create the most complete and accurately modeled air war yet seen in a massively multiplayer online flight sim about air war over the Phillipines, Singapore, Malaya, Borneo and Java.

Flying Target:Corregidor, you'll be able to experience a virtual simulation of two important, yet often overlooked phases of the Pacific War: the initial Japanese conquests of December, 1941 - March 1942; and the dramatic return of the Allied forces in 1944 and '45. This mod serves as natural bookends for the action that takes place between early 1942 and 1944, in Target:Rabaul. And, it uses that mod's planeset in its entirety. So, in one mod, you'll experience both the Japanese onslaught that kicked off the Pacific war, and the Marianas Turkey Shoot and Battles of the Phillipines Sea that were the hallmarks of the Allied drive towards Japan's home islands.

Because this is a player run Series, we welcome submissions for Target:Corregidor. Feel free to contact us, or visit the Targetware Community Forums.

This web site is an evolving work in progress. We're currently concentrating our effort on the simulation itself, so this web site will continue to grow over the coming weeks and months. Please, check back regularly for news updates and information on the history, men and aircraft of the Air War in the Pacific.
